The hollow core makes AB Stones easy to handle, promotes drainage and becomes rock solid when filled. The patented interlocking front lip creates a built in setback and eliminates the need for pins, clips or mortar. AB Stones, installed with a 12 degree setback, can be used to build as a gravity retaining wall with no reinforcement up to approximately 1.8metres high, dependent on soil conditions. Higher walls can be built using geogrid reinforcement between and behind the blocks. These walls are designed to suit each project and full calculations and working drawings can be provided when required.

Features:

  • The 12 degree setback delivers the most efficient, easy-to-stack full sized block on the market.
  • Built in drainage, interlock and engineering.

Typical Gravity Wall installation:

  1. Bury the first course of Allan Blocks at least 150mm below ground level
  2. Level and compact 150mm layer of base stone in a 300mm deep trench
  3. Compact backfill soil and drainage stone after each course of block is installed
  4. Fill block cores and 300mm behind blocks with graded stone
